Scenario 1F 'The Russians Counterattack' Designed by: Eric Pass (epass@nyx.net) I have renamed this scenario and given it an 'F' designation to indicate 'F'og of War setup options are in play. Scenario 1 was selected as the basis for this variant as it is small, short and everyone has played it and knows the basic strategies of this scenario. Set-up: Same as Scenario 1, except on Turn 3, Russian receives a reinforcement package of 140 points. Units enter anywhere on the north mapedge (within the boundaries of the Scenario 1 limitations). German reinforcement package is placed on board in any of the allowable starting German building hexes. How to determine sides: Both players create two reinforcement packages, one for each side. The Russian package may contain up to 140 points. The German package is variable depending on what the players feel is necessary to win the scenario. Once both players have completed their preparation, the two German reinforcement packages are compared. The player with the LOWER point package for the Germans will play the Germans using that reinforcement package. The other player will play the Russians using their still secret but predesignated Russian reinforcement package. Set the pieces of paper aside for verification after the scenario is over. EXAMPLE: Player 1 - Russian Package Player 1 - German Package 1xT-34 (140 points) 4xPF,2x4-6-7,upgrade 8-0ldr to 9-1ldr (145 points) Player 2 - Russian Package Player 2 - German Package 2x4-4-7,2xHMG (140 points) 2x8-3-8,upgrade 8-0ldr to 9-1ldr (195 points) The players would reveal their German packages and Player 1 would play the Germans and include the units in his package in his setup. Player 2 will play the Russians but does not have to reveal his Russian package until they come on board in Turn 3.
