I believe the correction to the map that Smolensk is supposed to be adjacent to Kiev was in the official errata. At one point I did have a sheet of errata but I can't seem to locate it now. I do however have the errata sheet that was handed out at the EotMA tournament at Origins '82, presented here without comment: ERRATA: The Map: Saxony & Brandenberg speak Old Saxon, not Old High German. Hungary speaks non-Indo-European, not Langue d'Oc. Smolensk is Eastern-Ortodox, not Pagan. Kiev connects to Smolensk and Ryazan. Croatia connects to the Adriatic Sea. [9.32,9.52] Effectiveness Ratings are halved for multiple sea areas if positive; if negative use 1.5 times the Effectiveness Rating, round up, and then add gold. [9.4] A Diplomatic Conquest does not include or imply a Diplomatic Tie. [18.0 procedure 2] A player may obtain possession and form a tie in either order. [21.3 case 4] An exile automatically acquires any Area of the exact same Language and Religion as his Leader if a Magnate appears there. [24.52] If the provinces with the highest social state cannot be conquered or pillaged (before any Defense endeavor) the magnate's attention turns to the provinces with the next highest social state. [27.5, 28.5] Hungary is Pagan. [Table 17.22] -2 if the owning Player has a Diplomatic Tie to the Area. +2 for one or more unfriendly (unwaived) Diplomatic Ties to the Area. [Table 22.3] Non-Indo-European Pagan has Proselytic Ability Rating of 0 and Convictional Strength Rating of 16.
