Simon Bracegirdle - 01:55pm Mar 23, 1999 PST (#68 of 74) Member of Manchester Board Gamers Club, UK I have a question on Operation Dragon Rouge. Do SIMBA reinforcements get to move on the turn of arrival. The rules say that reinforcements do not count against the command & control limits, but does this mean their placement only does not count or their placement and a subsequent move in the same turn. Also I assume that combat is only one round per turn, rather than carry on shooting until one side is eliminated. Actually that was two questions, but there you go, give me an inch and I will take a mile Randy Moorehead - 11:12am Mar 26, 1999 PST (#69 of 74) Last played: Rus', Rus', and even more Rus' ODR answers: 1. Simba reinforcements do not count against the command limit on the turn they enter. In other words, the turn they enter the map they may move and attack in addition to those activated by the die/dice roll. Remember that they may also be held off the map until you wish to enter them; in this case, you could build up a sizable force that could all enter at once. Of course, once they are on the map (the next turn), the command/control roll will probably mean that you can't use them, and this is intended. 2. Yes, combat is one "round" only. If holding a force off map do you still roll separately for the entry point of each unit ? If memory serves, we roll and then place the unit next to the map edge. The Allied player sees the mass lurking, but has no idea how powerful they are. Withholding units is something the Simba player should experiment with, since it can give him a turn with units "screaming" onto the map despite the command limits.
