Hi All

I just received the Spanish magazine ALEA (issue 25 : no date printed) and I
think that it may be of some interest for other consimmers to know what's on.

A VERY NICE surprise of this issue is the inclusion of two new scenarios for
the game THIRTY YEARS WAR (SPI/DG).

They came with a "double face" mini map (400x300 mm) much much better
designed (colours and graphics) that any one from the original game : on
side "A" we have the battlefield for MONTJUIC, while on side "B" we have LAS
DUNAS (Dunkirk).

Then we also have over 100 double sided counters that have the same graphic
of the DG game : they must be glued on cardboard, as we already do with VAE
VICTIS games, but I am sure that this time is well spent.

The two battles portraited are :

- LA BATALLA DE LAS DUNAS (the battle of Dunkirk)
  (june 14 1658)
  This battle was fought between the spanish and the franco-english armies

- LA BATALLA DE MONTJUIC (Spain : guerra del Segador)
  (January 26 1641)
  This battle was fought between italo-spanish and catalan armies

An interesting addition to the quadrigame, that now may use up to 7
different battles with the same system.

Another interesting feature of issue 25 is an insert with "optional rules"
for XTR's game PANZER SS.  Also in the "complementos" section of the
magazine we have the translation of the "official errata" for the game FOR
WHOM THE BELL TOLL.

The usual series of articles fill the magazine and it is interesting to note
that for the first time only wargames ae covered (no Role play or fantasy/SF) :

- HANNIBAL (AH)
- BORODINO&FRIEDLAND (Games USA)
- THE BATTLE OF DRESDEN (comparision between 3W-S&T and New England games)
- EMPIRES IN ARMS (AH)
- WAR IN THE EAST

and a new scenario for miniatures (Napoleonic) : LA LUCHA POR EL HOSTALET
