Civilization Attributes ALTAIC (a European, Far-Eastern, and Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Academy or any Academy/heavy Infantry (Hoplite, Phalanx, Centurion) units; Trireme, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Ballista Tower, War Elephant or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Plenty of missile-firing cavalry, only pays half cost for Horse Archer, Heavy Horse Archer units. Also, villagers move faster, plus one movement point allowance (+1M). ASSYRIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot build: Improved Bowman, Composite Bowman, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Phalanx, Centurion, War Elephant, Heavy Horse Archer, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Bowman, Chariot Archer, Horse Archer all plus one attack (+1A). All villagers faster, get a (+1M). BABYLONIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot build: Trireme, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Phalanx, Centurion, Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, War Elephant, Elephant Archer, Ballista, Helepolis, or Heavy Horse Archer. Special Attributes: All Towers well-defended, get two steps (F2). Also, excellent quarrying: an extra 30% in Stone resources are added in addition to other Stone (if selected) in resource phase. CELTIC (a European Civilization): Cannot build: Composite Bowmen, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Heavy Cavalry, War Elephant, Elephant Archer, Heavy Horse Archer, Catapult, or Heavy Catapult. Special Attributes: All villagers are stronger, have d6 and A1 combat rating. Also, excellent miners: an extra 30% in Gold resources are added in addition to other Gold (if selected) in resource phase. CHOSON (a Far-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Chariot, Chariot Archer, Composite Bowmen, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Phalanx, Centurion, War Elephant, Catapult, Heavy Catapult, Heavy Horse Archer, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: All towers longer range (+1R). In addition, they have excellent Iron Age Light Infantry, Long Sword has D-rating of d12, Legion has a rating of d20. EGYPTIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Cavalry, Broad Sword, Phalanx, Centurion, Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, Long Sword, Legion, Catapult, Heavy Catapult, Ballista, Helepolis, Horse Archer, or Heavy Horse Archer. Special Attributes: Good mining ability, an extra 20% in Gold resources are added in addition to other Gold (if selected) in resource phase. Also strong chariots, Chariots and Chariot Archers are rated d10. GERMANIC (a European Civilization): Cannot Build: Chariot, Improved Bowmen, Chariot Archer, Composite Bowmen, Juggernaught, Guard Tower, Ballista Tower, Phalanx, Centurion, War Elephant, Legion, Heavy Catapult, Elephant Archer, or Heavy Horse Archer. Special Attributes: Plenty of Light Infantry, only pays half cost to build light infantry/ barracks units. Good woodcutting, gets an additional 30% Wood Resource if Wood is chosen as a resource during the resource phase. GREEK (a Near-Eastern and European Civilization): Cannot Build: Chariot, Broad Sword, Improved Bowmen, Chariot Archer, Composite Bowmen, Cataphract, War Elephant, Long Sword, Legion, Horse Archer, Heavy Horse Archer, or Elephant Acher. Special Attributes: Fast Ships, they are plus two movement point allowance (+2M). Fast Heavy Infantry, Academy units are plus one movement point allowance (+1M). HITTITE (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Improved Bowmen, Composite Bowmen, Trireme, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, Long Sword, Legion, Ballista, or Helepolis. Special Attributes: long range firing ships, plus one missile range for warships (+1R). Also well-shielded catapult-type units, Stone Thrower is d12, Catapult is d12, Heavy Catapult is d20. MINOAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Chariot, Chariot Archer, Guard Tower, Ballista Tower, Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, War Elephant, Legion, Horse Archer, Heavy Horse Archer, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Pays only 66.6% of normal ship building costs. Gets an extra 20% food resource on turns when food is chosen as a resource during the resource phase. Also, plus one range (+1R) for Composite Bowmen. PERSIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Academy or any Academy Unit/Heavy Infantry (Hoplite, Phalanx, Centurion), Chariot Archer, Ballista Tower, Ballista, Helepolis, or Heavy Catapult. Special Attributes: Quick-firing Triremes, attack value of plus one (+1A). Faster Elephants, Elephant Archer and War Elephant plus one movement allowance (+1M). PHOENICIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, Catapult, Heavy Catapult, Ballista, Helepolis, Horse Archer, or Heavy Horse Archer. Special Attributes: Cheap Elepahants, pay only 135 Food and 30 Gold for War Elephants or Elephant Archers. Quick-firing Siege Ships, Catapult Trireme is (A3), and Juggernaught is (A5). SHANG (a Far-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Trireme, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Ballista Tower, Phalanx, Centurion, War Elephant, Long Sword, Legion, Heavy Catapult, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Villagers cost only 35 food. Strong Towers, they are all two-faced or two-step units (F2). SUMERIAN (a Near-Eastern Civilization) Cannot Build: Cavalry, Improved Bowmen, Composite Bowmen, Catapult Trireme, Juggernaught, Heavy Cavalry, Cataphract, Legion, Ballista, Helepolis, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Villagers are tough, D6. Quick-firing catapult-type weapons, Stoen Thrower is (A4), Catapult is (A5), and Heavy Catapult is (A6). Also, extra food production, any time food is selected as a resource, add 50% more food during the resource phase of that turn. YAMATO (a Far-Eastern Civilization): Cannot Build: Chariot, Chariot Archer, Broad Sword, Guard Tower, Ballista Tower, War Elephant, Long Sword, Legion, Catapult, Heavy Catapult, Ballista, Helepolis, or Elephant Archer. Special Attributes: Cheap horses, pays less of cost for horse-mounted units: Scout, Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry, and Catphract cost 60 gold and 55 food, Horse Archers cost 55 gold and 30 food.
