From: "Brad Fallon" Subject: FW: Great War in the East - SPI I recently found an old errata sheet for Great War in the East by SPI. Thought I would include it here for those who are interested. Great War in the East was one of SPI's better "quad" games. The four games representing various battles and offensives during World War I on the Eastern Front. The games are "Caporetto", Serbia-Galicia", "Von Hindenburg in Poland" and "The Brusilov Offensive". The common rules were also used for the game "Tannenburg" which was published on its own. For my money, these 5 games are still a good buy and accurately represent the "sometimes" flowing nature of the First World War in the East. GREAT WAR IN THE EAST ERRATA SPI game with errata dated December, 1978 Transcribed by Brad Fallon, April 7, 1998: Toronto, Canada STANDARD RULES 5.39 (addition) Entrained units cannot attack or be advanced during the Cavalry Withdrawl or Combat phases. However, an entrained unit which an Enemy unit has been moved adjacent to may be entrained in either of these Phases in order to attack or be advanced. 5.4 (clarification) Trenches are considered permanent for game purposes, ie. a unit attacked in a hex containing captured Enemy trenches does receive the defensive terrain benefit. 10.22 (clarification) HQ units of different Command Levels are indicated by the presence of coloured bands on the counters. Each HQ units have either two, one or zero bands.
