Anthony Curtis - 05:10pm Sep 3, 1998 PST (#64 of 65) [ Mark ] Chris, Here are some answers for you: Q: (Scenario 4) If I don't use all the units in the Invasion Pool (for example, I start with Baytown and Buttress), can I put remaining units in the Follow-up box? Yes, they do go there. Q: According to my reading of 13.4.7, the maximum number of units in the Follow-up box that can actually land is 12. All the scenarios, however, start with 14 units in the Follow-up box. Is this intended? Yes it is. We wanted the Allied player to have a choice in the initial Allied force mix. Q: (10.1.6.c) -- There is a reference to using artillery in the Reaction phase. There is no combat in the reaction phase. What is meant here? Well, you unearthed a fossil of an extinct game mechanic. Initially defender arty support was determined during the Reaction Phase. It was changed to the Combat Phase, but this sentence which should have gone away - didn't. Delete the first sentence of 10.1.6.c. Q: (11.2.4) When does the Axis player allocate air points to negate air interdiction? In the Allied or Axis transport phase? (It makes a difference). The Axis player allocates immediately after the Allied player does. Q: (Allied set-up -- Side 2): Under "Subsequent Invasion Operations," it says: "In scenario 3, Husky I and II are not allowed subsequent invasion operations." Do you mean "not allowed *as*subsequent invasion operations"? 5.3.3g seems to indicate that I can select one other invasion in scenario 3, but it must be either Baytown, Buttress, or Goblet. In Scenario 3, you get either Husky I or II as the initial invasion - never as a subsequent invasion. Baytown, Buttress and Goblet are the only candidates for a subsequent invasion. If you have any more questions, bring them on. Till later, Tony Curtis
