Elizabeth Fulda - 11:32am Dec 14, 2003 PST (#1712 of 1716) Sales/Marketing, Avalanche Press Ragazzi, On game questions, it would be *really* helpful if you boys used the website response form, too. I don't look at all the individual game folders all the time, and need the boss to figure out who gets the question anyway. And I can't always tell the difference between a "designer question" calling for response and a "players question" that I should just leave alone. I do have answers for Duane: ZOC's - entry and exit cost are not on the terrain effects chart or stated in the rules. IIRC, some one said it is +1 to enter, +2 to leave a ZOC. NO. COST TO LEAVE A ZOC IS 1/2 MOVEMENT ALLOWANCE (ROUND DOWN). Why American units have cannot be isolated after 18 Dec due to air supply? The weather was bad 18-22 Dec 44, so how could air transport units make supply drops on those days? Or is the intent of the rule is when the weather is overcast or clear, no American unit can be isolated due to air supply? BY THIS TIME THE AMERICANS WERE ABLE TO SUPPLY THERE ISOLATED UNITS BY AIR REGARDLESS OF THE WEASTHER (EASIER TO DROP SUPPLIES THAN BOMBS). Allied air power affect on German supply points - I read through the rules twice and I do not recall what affect, if any, air has on the amount of supply points the German receives. They can affect combat. DURING THE BATTLE AMERICAN AIR EFFORT WAS MORE DEVOTED TO TACTICAL AND SUPPLY MISSIONS. GERMANNSUPPLY WAS ALREADY IN DIRE STRAITS AND THE RECEIPT OF SUPPLY POINTS REFLECTS THIS. American set up listing: Based on all of my readings of the Ardennes, VIII Corps was based in Bastogne and V Corps was in the north being the Corps HQ for the attack on the Roer dams. The set up listing has the two Corps HQ reversed. For game purposes, it makes no difference of which Corps HQ unit controls maneuver units. THIS IS CORRECT, THE TWO ARE REVERSED. OOB comments: 519 tank battalion has a King Tiger icon. I think it should have a Jadgpanther icon. There was no 519 Tiger battalion (a nitpick). SEVERAL GERMAN TANK UNITS ARE INCOPORATED INTO PZ DIVISIONS AS SEVERAL WERE UNDERSTRENGTH. The Germans have the option to place reinforcements in a OKW pool and then roll for number and type of reinforcements or just take them on the historical time table. Looking over the time table, the 9SS PD can enter on 17 Dec??? The 2SS PD enters later, which I think is the correct time. I thought the two divisions were committed at the same time as the II SS Panzer Corps. And where is the 506 Tiger Battalion which entered the area 18/19 Dec 44. THE 506TH IS INCORPORATED INTO DIVISIONAL TANK STRENGTHS. SEE PREVIOUS ANSWER. American units - There is an extra regiment for the 35th ID (IIRC) and the 82nd AB. The 17th AB should have three regiments (only has two). One of the extra 82 units has the correct regimental designation (507) for the missing 17 AB regiment. I made a change on the counter and the 17 AB has three regiments. I CANNOT LOCATE A FOURTH REGIMENT FOR 35TH ID ON THE COUNTERSHEET. THE 507TH IS PART OF 17TH ABN.
