Michael Duffy - 12:15pm May 8, 2002 PST (#169 of 170) Now playing Charlie's Year. OK, I lied. I'm still reading the rules. Hi Ian Just a few more questions that popped up during play: 1) Do you use the minor casualties chart if the casualties generated is less than 1 after rounding up or do you not round? 2) Is there an brigade box for the Dutch on the army display? Is it the Hs one? 3) Can an unit ambush if it is finished? 4) Finally, the sequence for combat is different between the one in 9.13 and on the last page of Book II. Assume we use the one in 9.13 but add the step where you determine steps per side. Mike ian weir - 12:11am May 9, 2002 PST (#170 of 170) Hi Mike. 1) After rounding up (eg. 0.4 casualties or less). Should only be necessary with very small battles. 2) Use the Hessian Box. There was supposed to be a note to that effect, but I must have forgotten to include it. One of the minor problems you face when your hard drive crashes and you have to replace everything. You'll note the Hessians don't enter play unless the Dutch have left. 3) No. Finished units are useless at everything except defending themselves. 4) You are correct, except that BW reliability is checked prior to combat actually occurring, as per the back cover (put the bean counting in that slot instead). How's the play going?
