CK Lai - 11:22am May 25, 2000 PST (#2913 of 2916) Hi Sorry to trouble you again with such an old game, but... I have a few more questions for Cortes, if you don't mind: 1. Reading the rules, cavalry charges take place BEFORE combat? It's not part of combat? 2. If the cavalry charge fails, the combat still proceeds normally, right? 3. Can cavalry charge Aztecs in a temple/fortress hex? 4. Aztec trapping (again): the rules say the can trap "up to" 3 hexes max. In Chinampa hexes, can Spanish troops (who normally have a movement of 2 hexes) be trapped up to 3 hexes? IOW, where trapping is concerned, this means the spanish troops can move MORE than what thet normally can through normal movement? (Hope that one was clear) 5. If an Aztec unit(s) is on hexes 2924-2921 (the small section of causeway between the Xoloco fortress and the main Tenochtitlan city) is it considered to be off the island for purposes of calculating remaining Aztec units for Cahuatemoc's escape? Thanks! CK Lai PS. you mentioned in the Command Mag forum that you were looking for playtesters for your new Eastern Front game. Well, as you can see from my questions, I have a partner who's new to wargaming but LOVES to nitpick on rules ambiguities, looking for loopholes while I've had wargaming experience that goes back to SPI and PGG/Constantinople (my 1st wargames) so I'm not exactly lacking in experience. If you want someone who'll pick your rules to shreds... ;) Ty Bomba - 04:35pm May 25, 2000 PST (#2915 of 2916) CK Lai: Here are your requested "Cortes" rule interpretions. 1. Yes. No. 2. Yes. 3.
