Rule 3.1, 3.5 and 9.1 Do reinforcements move during the Reinforcement phase or are they simply available at that point? Are they placed on board? (Parachute units still drop during the Reinforcement Phase, but what about other units, or parachute units that are coming on as normal reinforcements) A. They are placed on a map edge hex per 9.1, except for the parachute units being held for parachute drop. They may not move until the Movement Phase. Q. Rule 6.7 If a unit that receives a DR1 can only retreat onto a friendly unit is it eliminated or can it retreat a further hex (it seems that it is better to get a DR2 or a DR3 than a DR1 as units with a DR2/DR3 could enter a hex containing a friendly unit as their first hex entered and then retreat another hex or two and survive. A. The unit may be retreated up to one additional hex. If it is then stacked with a friendly unit or in an enemy Zone of control, it is eliminated. You do not have the option of eliminting a poorer unit that was retreated onto in ordser to save a better one. Q. Rule 7.3 If the Germans don't maintain a continuous front in Scenario 1 do they automatically lose? A. No, but the Soviet Player will receive Victory Points per 9.4.4 [well, it should say 9.4, there at teh bottom of the right-hand column on Page 5 of the rules: "9.4 Victory Points. The player having the largest total...." Q. Rule 7.2 The German Supply Determination Die Roll in the rules says that all Germans within the pocket are in supply on an even die roll. The 5upply Determination note next to the CRT is the opposite of what is in rules say that the Germans in the Pocket are in Supply on a roll of 1, 3 or 5. Which is correct (neither matters as its the same 'odds') A. The chart is correct, the rule is krobbled. Q. Rule 8.1 Does a Soviet unit which starts its movement phase outside the command radius of an HQ have the one movement point it was reduced by reinstated during that movement phase if it moves back within the command radius of a HQ during that Movement Phase? A. No. Q. Rule 8.2 Must a Soviet parachute unit that lands on a German unit attack that unit in the turn that it lands on it? A. Yes. Q. Rule 9.2 Scenario 1 VC's Does a German unit in a hex negate a Soviet ZOC for purposes of a "line of hexes free of enemy units or their Zones of Control"? A. Yes. Enjoy the game. Jeffry Tibbetts
