From: "DEAL,ROGER F" Subject: correction to translation of Jeanne d'Arc rules I have found an error in my interpretation of the combat procedure in my translation of the rules to the game Jeanne d'Arc AKA Miricle on the Loure. Here's how it really works: The owning player throws one die for each strength point (that's what the number in the lower right of each combat unit is). The result must be equal to or less than the number shown on Table #5 "Valeur de Combat" in order to score a hit. Most units are rated two but peasants are rated one and artillery is three (!).Note that units attacking a fortification have their "to hit" number reduced by one. Note, also, that each English strength point rolls twice, once in archery fire and again in melee. My sincere regrets for any confusion this may have caused. Guess it was just a variation on seeing what I expected to see.
