Adam Starkweather Game Designer updated errata 8/27/07 The latest errata for the game. I am hopeful that this will be in the box that ships out shortly but if you picked up the game at Origins, you will need this... The black is what was included in the box on the errata sheet. The red is all that has been added up to 8/17 The blue is new additions post 8/17 Example of Play Errata Figure 2 The text refers to the 51st German Infantry Corps. It should refer to the 11th Infantry Corps (to match the picture). Scenario Errata The Turning Point 19.1.4 This scenario begins with the Soviet Combat Phase (step E in the Sequence of Play). All prior steps are skipped for turn 22 (only). The Russian 9th infantry army is noted twice, both into hex 1043. Just ignore the second picture of this army on the Russian Player Card. 19.2 Russia Resurgent The setup card has an error. The Axis depot in hex 2904 should be in 2907. The setup card has another error. The Soviet Oil Economic asset in 1426 should be in 1246. The Road to Stalingrad 19.3.5 A Petroleum Traffic Channel is an Oil Pipeline Economic Asset. A little taste of Japanese wording for you that I forgot to change. The War for the Heartland 19.5.5 The Note at the end of 19.5.5 that the Victory Point totals at the bottom of the map are different is incorrect. They are the same in the rules and the map. In Scenarios 2 (Barbarossa), 3 (Road to Stalingrad), and 5 (War for the Heartland): Throughout the 1st turn, all units setup in Finland or Romania cannot move, overrun, attack or breakdown into KG (should be BG as well). They advance after combat and defend normally. General errata for all scenarios The space place numbers for the victory cities are wrong. They are from the Japanese version of the game and were not updated. Here is a list of the VP cities and their space number locations: WARSAW 3901 MOSCOW 4828 KONIGSBERG 4601 BUCHAREST 1207 PLOESTI 1407 LENINGRAD 6117 SEVASTOPOL 1221 KHARKOV 3026 STALINO 2430 VORONEZH 3632 ROSTOV 2233 KIEV 3116 ODESSA 1816 LUBLIN 3503 RIGA 5308 SMOLENSK 4520 VILNYUS 4509 MINSK 4212 LVOV 3005 VINNITSA 2713 PROSKUROV 2809 KISHINEV 2012 BREST LITOVSK 3805 Rules Errata Q What does 4.0.6 mean? Doesn't make sense. A: What it means to say is that Soviet Cav Corps can only stack one (per normal stacking rules. See when these apply in 4.0.6) per space even though they have a 0 Stacking value. Q; Rule 7.9.6 says that Soviet infantry, mechanized, and tank units and all German infantry, mountain and tank units "can be recycled" and then refers you to 15.7 for details. However, there is nothing in 15.7 regarding German infantry, mountain or tank units. Am I missing something? A: Oops. Rule 7.9.6 shouldn’t mention the German units. Additions as of 8/8/07: Q: I need a clarification on 7.11.2. Does it really mean what it says? So that LS/OoS Soviet armies, corps, HQs, and other units that could normally recycle are out of the GAME if forced to retreat into a German ZOC-excuse me, contested space? Or does it simply mean such units are eliminated and may recycle normally (subject to 15.7.5 etc)? A: Means what it says but could be clearer. Units that are LOS/OOS and are forced to retreat into a contested space are placed in the permanently eliminated box. Choose to take the step loss instead. Q: What happens to Soviet leaders when they are eliminated in combat? A: Placed in the permanently eliminated box. Q: Where do I put evacuated Soviet factories? The box mentioned in the rules for this doesn't exist. A: Just place in any convenient space on the map. Hammer and sickle works nicely. Clarification: please add this comment to the end of 7.15.9 (Of course the player in this case could simply elect to take a step loss before his retreat, thus reducing the maximum advance by one). (added 8/21/07) Rules change (7.10.6). The first proviso of the retreat restriction is to be deleted. You must retreat to any uncontested space (occupied or not) as your first choice. (added 8/21/07) Rules change (7.1.2, step H) You may not knowingly attack (either during overrun or in the combat phase) at odds lower than the lowest odds on the combat table. Should the Soviets declare an attack with Armies of unknown strength and, after determination, it is found to not equal the minimum odds on the table, the attack is considered to have no effect. It is considered a NE result without rolling a die (added 8/27/07) Rules clarification (15.2.5) Calculate supply for reinforcements at the moment you place them as if it were the supply phase (10.0). Do not add or remove any supply markers--simply calculate supply for that particular reinforcement at that moment. This means, for example, that an otherwise in-supply HQ may be out of supply for purposes of placing a reinforcement. Just placed Reinforcement (like arriving German depots or Soviet HQs) do not change the supply status of spaces for other reinforcements placed during that reinforcement phase. (added 9/3/07) 8.0.8 says overruns cannot be made against the undestroyed fortress of Sevastopol, referencing 7.4.3, which says overruns cannot be made agains Sevastopol destroyed or undestroyed. Which is correct? You can overrun into a destroyed Sevastopol. Treat as a minor city in all ways. Last edited by adamant on 2007-09-03 04:43:12 CST (Total Number of Edits: 19)
