The following Q&A answers for Safe Return Doubtful (by Simulations Workshop)
were furnished by the designer, Randy Moorehead:

1. Does the voyage end (and you lose) if you reach the end of the
expedition log sheet and you're still out there - or do you keep playing
(with a new log sheet) until you return home?

A. You may use any number of log sheets, unless playing Solitaire Scenario
3 (Peary), and then the one sheet limit applies (you have to beat the
historical figure to win). I have seen games where it takes several sheets,
but these are usually Early Years.

2. Do you draw a card (and see what it says) before deciding to hunt - or
must you make a hunting decision up front and not draw a card? (Or do you
draw a card anyway to see if there's a disaster?)

A. You must always draw an Action Card to check for disasters, even if not
moving (and/or hunting). Your choice as to when to draw it. I prefer
announcing my intent to hunt, rolling for the hunt, then drawing a card.

3. If the crew is moving via dogs/land using sledges is the cargo capacity
4 (just the sledges) or 6 (4 for the sledges and 2 for the crew)? Or maybe
it's 6 if using dogs (i.e., the men aren't pulling the sledges and therefore
can carry cargo) and only 4 if the men have to pull the sledges?

A. 6 (4 for the sledges and 2 for the crew, regardless of if they are
dragging them or not - assume it is what they can carry on their backs).
Probably too simplistic, but I had to draw the line somewhere. Man-drawn
sledges were a British "invention" and not really a great idea ;-)
