Here's what I've got: "19.22 When playing SOLDIER RAJ alone all European units received as new units are placed in the Central Atlantic sea area and remain there until transported, if an army, or moved, if a fleet. Maintenance is not paid for armies received as reinforcements in this manner until they move from the Central Atlantic sea zone. When playing SOLDIER RAJ and SOLDIER EMPEROR together, all European units are placed in a home nation land area. Those areas of a Major Power on the SOLDIER RAJ map are not treated as home areas when building European units. When playing SOLDIER RAJ and SOLDIER EMPEROR together, all manpower points collected on the SOLDIER RAJ map, except the Sydney area, are tracked separately (use the SOLDIER RAJ Britain, and French Manpower markers for their respective country and any other Manpower marker for the Spanish Manpower) and may only be used to build and rebuild nonEuropean units. ..." and further commentary: "That third paragraph ("When playing SOLDIER RAJ and SOLDIER EMPEROR together") only applies to playing the two games together. In the separate scenarios, you can use your manpower as you please. The deployment restrictions in the first paragraph, coupled with the short length of the scenarios, will keep you from building lots of Euro-units. "The restriction is there for the combined game to prevent Indian manpower from unbalancing the European game, especially if someone like Prussia or Austria bamboozles their way onto the map." One chart is missing, "Costs" from the back of the scenario book: Build an army: $3, 5 manpower (MP), 2 turns Build a fleet: $6, 4 mp, 4 turns Combat Probe (1 round) $1 Assault (2 rounds) $3 Invasion (unlimited) $5 1 round siege free 2 rounds siege $2 unlimited siege $3 Maintain any unit $1, 1 mp repair any unit $1, 1 mp Pretty little .pdf should be up on the site by tomorrow. The rules for Soldier Raj mention some modifictions to the Soldier Emperor cost chart: European units take 2$ to repair, Probe is free if less then three Euro units, cost of Assault depends on number of units, & Invasion no longer costs five instead it costs one less then the number of units involved (min=2, max=5). Most of this info is in the rules, but it would be nice to get one chart with it all laid out. I'm also wondering about the reference in the rules to not counting the Winter turn when determining the number of turns till a new unit arrives; this makes sense in Soldier Emperor where there is no Winter Campaign turn but doesn't seem right in Soldier Raj. Elizabeth Fulda - Jan 11, 2005 12:28 pm (#3531 Total: 3531) Sales/Marketing, Avalanche Press I'll see about getting a more detailed chart made. I do have an answer: "We tried that, but wanted to avoid weird rule manipulations in the combined game if there were different lengths of time required on the two maps. And we didn't want the separate scenarios and the combined game to diverge too much from one another. Indian armies usually did their recruiting in the "off season" anyway, so it works out the way we wanted in game play." Avalanche Liz
