ERRATA AND CLARIFICATIONS: "Their Finest Hour" 3/76 Following production of the TFH counter sheets, an inordinate number of errors were found. These errors are noted in the Counter Sheet section of this errata following. A small set of counters is currently being produced that will replace the erroneous ones. This sheet will automatically be sent to you as soon as it is available (projected 15 April mailing date). If there is any additional errata information as of that mailing, it will be enclosed with the correction sheet mailed to you. If you have any specific questions regarding play of "Their Finest Hour" please write to us, including a self-addressed, stamped envelope, for a prompt response. Questions on historical. background cannot be answered due to staff work-load. Counter Sheets: A number of Europa counters are included in the game that are not for use with any of the specific TFH scenarios or games. These include a number of British ground units and German naval units. The British units include many ground formations not available during the period covered, but formed for duty in the UK, 1939-41. The German naval units include a number of ships planned by the Kriegsmarine, but never actually produced, under the Z-plan and other planning studies. Certain air units indicated on the Europe Air OA are not contained in the counter mix. These units will appear in other Europa games. Units necessary to play the Europe Battle of Britain game are all included. The following counters were omitted from the counter mix, but are included with the correction sheet: Data in parentheses refers to information on the back of the counter, if applicable. An asterisk after the factors indicates a supported unit: others are not marked supported. Unit designations are indicated, for example 7/-, representing a unit with a 7 in the parent unit position of the counter (to the left of the type symbol) and nothing (-) on the right. -/26T would indicate nothing in the parent unit position, and 26T in the unit identification position (to the right of the type symbol): German ground units: 7th Flieger Division 1 x 9-6 Airborne XX (7/-) (4-6 Airborne DG) 1 x 2-3-5* Airborne 111 (7/-) (2-3-7 Airborne 111) 3 x 2-5* Airborne 111 (7/-) (2-7 Airborne 111) 1 x -6- Division HQ (7/- - 1 x Base, 7 Flgr 22nd Air Landing XX 1 x 7-6 Air Landing XX (22LL/-) (3-6 Air Landing DG) 3 x 2-5* Air Landing III (22LL/-) (2-6 Air Landing 111) 1 x -6- Air Landing Division HQ (22LL/-) - 1 x Base, 22LL Totenkopf Motorized XX 1 x Base, T Mot British ground units: 1 Canadian XX 1 x 7-6 Infantry XX (1 Can/-) (3-6 Infantry Cadre) 3 x 2-6* Infantry X (1 Can/-) (2-6 Infantry X) 1 x -6- Division HQ (1 Can/-) - 51st Infantry Division 1 x 4-6 Infantry XX (51/-) (1-6 Infantry Cadre) 54th Infantry Division 1 x 6-6 Infantry XX (54/-) (2-6 Infantry Cadre) 55th Infantry Division 1 x -6- Division HQ (55/-) 2nd New Zealand Division 1 x -6- Division HQ (2 NZ/-) The following counters had errors on them as noted. These unit counters will also be replaced with the correction sheet; The divisional identification numbers on the backs of the division counter and two regimental counters for 4th Panzer Division and 7th Panzer Division were transposed. That is, the back of these formations of the 4th Panzer are labelled as if they were the 7th, and vice versa. All mountain regiments (there are five; three for the 1st Mountain division and two for the 6th Mountain Division) should be marked supported. There isn't, nor should there be, an unsupported side to these counters. The three regiments of SS Motorized division Totenkopf (T) and Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler (LAH) are missing the supported marker on one face of the counter. One face should be 'supported,' the other 'unsupported.' A bunch of the British armored and tank brigades in the Europe set of counters have their brigade numbers on the wrong side of the counter, in the division number position. Affected brigades are: 6, 10, 11, 20, 27 28, 6T, 10T, 11T, 33T, 34T, 35T, 36T. These are Europe counters and are not directly used in the Sea Lion game. Rules: Sea Lion Rule 8 (Setting up the game), paragraph H should read: Place a blank counter in the July 1 box of the Time Record Chart. The game is ready to begin. Battle of Britain Rule 4: The Aviation Maintenance Table is actually labelled Aircraft Repair Table and is located on the buff sheet containing the Bombing Tables. Battle of Britain Rule 7: Night fighters may not make patrol attacks against aircraft flying day missions; day fighters may not make patrol attacks against night mission aircraft. Battle of Britain Rule 9, last sentence of section 1: (should read) In this manner, two, three or more attacking escorting fighter stacks may be allocated against one intercepting fighter stack. Battle of Britain Rule 14 (Radar), third paragraph: Place the remaining eight radar stations between hex 3501 and hex 3718, map 12.
