ZULU ATTACK by Phoenix Enterprises Suggested Errata By Kevin DeVita GAME SET-UP 2-2-6 (Red): Camp and Supply Wagon set-up is mentioned further down the page. 1-3-8 (Zulus) The extra Zulu infantry will be placed and moved on turn 2. COMMAND CONTROL The leader does not have to be moved with the unit ordered to move. COMBAT: FIRE Phasing units in separate hexes may combine Fire Factors against the same enemy hex. The Range Modifiers table is then consulted for each individual hex before adding them together. AMMO DEPLETION Only one unit per die roll can become Ammo Depleted. The British player decides which unit is to be flipped if there is more than one unit participating in the combat. COMBAT: MELEE Phasing units in separate hexes may combine Melee Factors against the same enemy hex. Compare the total Melee factors of both the attacker and defender (the attacker is the phasing player) to create an odds ratio. Always round down in favor of the defender. MELEE COMBAT RESULTS - = No result DE = Defender Eliminated AE = Attacker Eliminated EX = Each side loses 1 unit. Be aware, it is possible to lose many units in a single, failed attack. GENERAL COMBAT Units may do both Fire and Melee in the same turn. LINE OF SIGHT Brown hexsides block line of sight. Exception: If both hexes (attacker and defender) are adjacent and separated by a brown line, then Fire and Melee combat may occur.Units in the Donga cannot be fired on unless they are adjacent (see the Terrain Effects Chart). VICTORY POINTS At the end of game turn 12, subract the British victory point total from the Zulu victory point total. Then consult the following chart: VICTORY LEVEL +35 and more - Major Zulu Victory! (Historical Result) +15 to +34 - Decisive Zulu Victory +5 to +14 - Marginal Zulu Victory +4 to -4 - Draw -5 to -14 - Marginal British Victory -15 to -34 - Decisive British Victory -35 and less - Major British Victory! (You won the war!) BALANCING Use the following rule if you think the British need help: The British can move without a leader after turn 5. -------------------------------------------------------- http://www.bismarckslounge.com/
