Bull Run 1861 The current edition of Bull Run 1861 rules is "Version 2.0". (2.0 Dixie Decks) Which Special cards are marked "No Duplicates" in the 2nd edition cards? [3/21/95] Only the Ford cards (Cards 191, 192, 297, 298, 299) are marked as "No Duplicates". (2.1 Battle Decks) What deck sizes are recommended? [9/7/95] Both sides should have equal size decks. Generally, the deck size should be between 30 to 60 cards. (2.2 Custom Battle Decks) What BP totals are recommended? [9/7/95] Both sides should have equal BP totals. Generally, the BP total should be 200 to 400 BPs. Decks should contain a minimum number of cards. Generally, the minimum should be set around 15 cards per 100 BPs. Above 400 BPs, players should consider the Expanded Battlelines game. (2.2 Custom Battle Decks) Are custom battle decks shuffled? [9/12/95] Custom Battle Decks are shuffled and then cut by the opponent just as for random decks. (3.0 The Muster) How many cards should be used when the BPs are not an exact multiple of 100? The current edition of Shiloh 1862 rules is "Version 1.0". (2.1 Random Battle Decks) What deck sizes are recommended? [9/7/95] There should be a 3:4 ratio of CSA to USA deck sizes. Generally, the deck sizes should between 30/40 to 60/80. (2.2 Custom Battle Decks) What BP totals are recommended? [9/7/95] There should be a 3:4 ratio of CSA to USA BP totals. Generally, the BP totals should be between 225/300 and 450/600. Decks should contain a minimum number of cards. Generally, the minimum should be set around one card per 7.5 BPs. (14.3 Army of the Ohio) When playing a Custom Battle Deck game, how should the Army of Ohio be handled? [9/7/95] If players choose to use this option, then the Union must split his forces into two decks. The Ohio deck must be at least one quarter of the Union BPs and minimum deck size. The Tennessee deck gets the remainder of the BPs and must have at least 18 cards in it. Both decks together must satisfy the minimum deck size. Troops and generals for each deck must be drawn from their respective armies. Both decks are shuffled separately. Tennessee is used for the Muster. Then the Ohio deck is added to the bottom of the Tennesse deck to form the Union reinforcement deck. [7/10/95] The affected card cannot do anything except it must move normally towards the reserve, where the Prisoner Escort is removed.
