From The CANADIAN WARGAMERS JOURNAL, ISSUE 25 FALL 1990 Sideshow House Rules These are the interpretations that we play with and since they are in no way official you should use them as a guide until the official errata is released. 1. 17.2 VP's for German Placement cities should include Tabora (3430). 2. 9.13 states for the first 4 game turns Oct-Jan. The first 4 game turns are Sept-Dec. 3. The OPGT (5.27) does not contain the FINIS** result [loss of any saved operation point]. The bottom FINIS is obviously the FINIS**. 4. What happens to a leader left alone in a stack due to unit elimination. We say he is captured and eliminated from the campaign. 5. There is no provision to penalize a player for having more attrition penalties than he has strength points to lose. For instance a small German unit could march across the board, go up to the Uganda RR, and cut as many hexes as he could [just dodging the Allied ZOC]. True he would be automatically eliminated due to attrition but he gets 2VP a hex for the RR breaks. We play that if the attrition is more than the unit can pay in casualties then the rest is paid in attrition points for movement. Basically if the unit is short two points his progress is backed up two attrition points [ie. probably preventing a railway cut]. 6. Ambush loss are not possible with a stack of solely KAR units.
