> The Editor's Soapbox The first issue of Simulations Online was uploaded to the commercial services and Usenet a little over a month ago, and it got great reviews! I became a bit worried a few days after the first issue appeared because my mailbox was empty, I feared the worst. That didn't last long! A week later, mail poured in and the download count soared! My thanks go out to the issue's authors and those who responded. We'll do our best to provide you with wargame news and information you can really use and will enjoy reading. This issue finds the spotlight on an outstanding game company, Clash of Arms Games. This company definitely deserves a lot more than attention than it has been getting. We'll start with a quick review of Edelweiss, one of their latest releases, and then onto an article by the game's designer, John Schettler. John discusses his future plans for the series as well as details regarding the upcoming revision of his now classic Winter Storm game design. Jim Dunnigan submitted a column regarding the accuracy of pre-war forecasting of the Kuwait Campaign highlighting the predictions of his long time associate, T.N. Dupuy. Also in this issue are a few new test features. These new features are: Great Battles of History, 10 and 15 Years Ago, and the Simulations Online Classic Wargame Price Survey. Let me know what you think about these columns and any ideas you may have for future issues of this magazine. Finally, the magazine is still looking for a few good regular staff editors and authors. If you feel up to writing a regular monthly for the magazine covering any aspect of the wargaming hobby (and all the fame and e-mail that goes along with the job) drop me a line at any one of my e-mail addresses.
